The error "Scan index out of range" is returned when uploading images or when syncronizing documents

When you try to upload a picure file you might get the error Scan index out of range and the action fails. The same error will also occur when you syncronize documents in the same category or running Site Content Manager.

This error can be caused if the uploaded file either has a very small height or width and in the same time the other dimension is larger that the mesurement given and you have applied image processing on the actual category. It can also occur if you have successfully uploaded such a file in a category without image processing activated and later activates it on that category. In the latter case the error will occur if when you syncronize documents. It can also occur if such a category is dumped and later installed as a new site.

This is an error that occurs in the image processing component when it tries to scale the picture and either the width and height will be scaled down to a value less than 1 pixel.

If you experience this problem you should upgrade Content Studio to version 4.0 build 1005. In older versions you must remove image processing on the actual category in order to continue or place the affected images in a separate category without image processing.

This error has been fixed in Content Studio version 4.0 build 1005
